Pixel Destroyer
Inspired by pixelated screens, this retro-minimalist fixed shooter hopes to take the frustrations of a buggy GPU driver and turn it into a challenging high score mission.
Your only objective? Destroy all the falling large white pixels and scrolling small and tiny white pixels before they hit you or cross the bottom boundary of your player's line of movement! Each large white pixel, upon being hit, will explode into a random array of different colored pixels that act as static blockades to your bullets and spawn two small, scrolling white pixels to be destroyed. As the game progresses small scrolling white pixels have a chance of exploding into colorful tiny confetti pixels as well.
Too many colored pixels blocking your line of fire? Press "C" to change bullets and destroy pixels of the same color (not all colors are available for bullet selection). Throughout the game, there is a 10% chance that medium and small pixels will become power-ups and drop a small-sized pixel "capsule" towards the player. Catch these enhancements to enter multi-color mode, allowing you to destroy any colored pixel you shoot.
As levels progress, more white pixels fall and the rate of falling and scrolling increments up.
Large white pixels are worth 100 points. Small and tiny pixels are worth 50 points. Blockades are worth 25 points.
Now let's destroy some pixels!
